Timber & Woodwork Teacher

This is a full-time, permanent position available at our school commencing Term 1, 2026. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Timber and Woodwork teacher to join our dedicated team of professionals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Timber, Woodwork, and related Technology and Applied Studies subjects across Years 7-12, including Stage 6. They will contribute to curriculum development, practical project design, and assessment.

About the Role

  • Teach a range of Timber and Woodwork subjects to students from Years 7-12.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative lessons that cater to different learning styles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • NESA accreditation and current Working With Children Check.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Technology or Applied Studies with a specialisation in Timber or Woodwork.
  • Strong knowledge of safe workshop practices and WHS compliance.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to the ethos of independent education and a willingness to contribute to co-curricular programs.
