Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students, and have a deep knowledge and expertise in high-quality teaching and learning practices.
  • Professional Learning: Provide professional learning to teachers, including developing processes and protocols for observation and feedback of teacher practice and peer collaboration.
  • Leadership: Work with the school leadership team to develop a shared view of highly effective teacher practice, and lead and model the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Supervise and train student teachers, and mentor and/or coach teachers to improve their practice.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Model exemplary use of student data to inform teaching approaches, and develop and promote school-wide professional learning structures, processes, and protocols through Professional Learning Communities.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching and learning, professional learning, and leadership, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
