Insurance Claims Manager

We are seeking an Insurance Claims Manager to join our team.

This role involves managing a portfolio of medium to high value claims and complex niche products. The main objective is to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes through prompt communication and thorough investigation, reserving, and adjustment of claims lodged by insureds or third parties.

  • Duties include analysing first reports, conducting investigations, securing and verifying supporting documentation, establishing accurate reserves, and providing exceptional service standards.
  • The successful candidate will maintain an active diary, monitor it to achieve timely development of files and timely disposition of claims, document all developments on claim files, exercise good judgement in reaching final dispositions, and negotiate compromise settlements where appropriate.
  • Effective communication with various departments, teams, and stakeholders is essential for this role.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or insurance industry experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years liability claims experience is also necessary.
  • Broad knowledge of the insurance industry and claims processes, written and verbal communication skills, workflow management skills, strong customer service focus, and proven teamwork abilities are essential for success in this role.
