The Role

We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Engineering team as a key member. As a Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work on our comprehensive suite of systems, from core payment infrastructure to innovative merchant-facing systems. We employ Agile methods and use eXtreme Programming principles, which involve working in small teams and engaging in pair programming.

You'll draw upon a wide range of open-source technologies to construct superior solutions using best-of-breed components, ensuring you'll always be learning something new.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software code
  • Contribute to the entire delivery lifecycle, from planning to production, including development, testing, and deployment
  • Participate in agile methodologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team
  • Influence other developers, product managers, and senior managers to ensure alignment with the company vision
  • Experiment with new technologies and stay up-to-date with industry developments

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Java or other object-oriented programming languages. Commercial experience with Kotlin is highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience working with AWS.
  • A strong understanding of building testable, decoupled, maintainable code and other engineering best practices.
  • A proven track record in building enterprise-level applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of guiding engineering teams towards a shared vision and common objectives.
  • Experience working with Microservice architecture and design.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with technology and application development methodologies.

Based on industry standards and the role's requirements, the estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
