Job Title: Engagement Coordinator

The position of Engagement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering connections between Women NSW and the community.

  • Develop and implement innovative engagement strategies that enable diverse audiences to inform policy development, plans, and programs.
  • Coordinate events like forums, workshops, briefings, and roundtable discussions to facilitate dialogue and collaboration.
  • Support the creation and execution of various engagement tools, including focus groups, surveys, community outreach, and online engagement platforms.
  • Promote collaboration with external partners to deliver high-quality results that cater to diverse audience needs.
  • Produce well-timed written content for senior executives and offer support in crafting written materials for Departmental officers.

Key challenges:

  • Maintain knowledge of regional and rural issues affecting women in NSW, as well as government workings, engagement methodologies, and communication practices.
  • Develop recommendations for event strategies that incorporate perspectives from multiple stakeholders, taking into account broader agency context, policy issues, and whole-of-government objectives.

Key requirements:

  • Lived experience and understanding of regional and rural women's issues in NSW.
  • Experience in developing and implementing successful engagement strategies for customers, the community, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital content development, publications, audiovisual presentations, and other communication materials.
