Job Title: Child Protection Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Child Protection Specialist to join our team in this challenging and rewarding role.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking safety and risk assessments for children and young people, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to identify and address safety and risk concerns. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake thorough safety and risk assessments for children and young people, considering multiple factors and perspectives.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement plans to address safety and risk concerns.
  • Source accurate and comprehensive information to inform decision-making and ensure evidence-based practice.
  • Maintain accurate and objective records of client interactions and interventions.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in statutory child protection services or investigation services.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in social work, social science, or welfare, with practical experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships.
  • A valid driver's license (P1 or above).
