Indirect Procurement Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies across multiple indirect procurement categories, driving cost savings and optimizing supplier relationships. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement processes, as well as strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive category plans to drive cost savings and process improvements.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis and supplier assessments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide strategic guidance on procurement best practices.
  • Lead the development of RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing supplier performance evaluations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring high-quality service, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically focusing on indirect categories.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices, including strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and process efficiencies within indirect procurement.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research, data analysis, and supplier assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of FMCG industry and associated indirect procurement categories is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
