About the Role

At Amentum, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Alice Springs, Australia. As an Electrical Engineer - Low Voltage Systems, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's Low-voltage, Audio-Visual (A/V) infrastructure and Security systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and design technical architecture solutions for emerging technologies, ensuring seamless integration with current systems.
  • Supervise small teams on project deployments and provide technical assistance to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify opportunities and provide technical solutions for functional problems, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our data and systems.
  • Prepare and present test plans, technical overviews, and analysis to stakeholders, promoting a robust and repeatable solution.
  • Collaborate with all teams to ensure a robust and repeatable solution, communicating effectively across business units and customer groups.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, documenting architecture and design of implemented solutions.
  • Provide, present, and support technical advice for external project integrators, ensuring operational excellence and successful execution.
  • Modify and design new systems to meet operational requirements, ensuring health and safety practices and compliance at site and within the workplace.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • Essential: Current Driver's License and relevant technical skills in Low-voltage and Security systems.
  • Desirable: Experience with Electronic Access Control Security systems, SCADA, and software applications and databases.
Experience and Skills
  • Minimum Essential: 3-7 years' experience in a relevant field, with experience and knowledge of Electronic Access Control Security systems, SCADA, and software applications and databases.
  • Desirable: Experience with Cisco Network systems, VMware environments, Building Management Systems, and permitter intrusion security systems.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands
  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting, and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and working under deadlines.
