About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at Clough Group. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality control and assurance on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality control plans to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor and report on quality control activities.
  • Collaborate with construction teams, subcontractors, and client QA representatives to ensure effective quality control and assurance.
  • Manage and sign off on inspection and test plans, ensuring compliance with established codes and standards.
  • Represent the contractor in project completions inspections and test records.
  • Perform daily inspections in line with project specifications and document findings.
  • Validate quality competencies of individuals assigned to construction tasks.
  • Provide input into the weekly quality report and conduct in-process audits to determine adequacy and effectiveness of quality control activities.
  • Report any discrepancies or concerns immediately upon discovery and manage inspection notifications to ensure attendance at critical activities.
  • Communicate inspection findings and evaluate third-party inspection report action items, contacting stakeholders regarding inspection coordination, tracking, results, and highlighting issues or action items.
  • Attend kick-off meetings to address quality contractual requirements and conduct pre-production/pre-inspection meetings with nominated suppliers and subcontractors to ensure all quality control activities have been understood.
  • Review and approve supplier/subcontractor project deliverables, ensuring alignment and compliance to specified standards and specifications.
  • Stop progress of works when any non-conformance with quality requirements is identified and propose and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of industry experience in a similar role within an engineering and construction environment.
  • Civil Engineer or Trade Qualification.
  • Auditor Certification.
  • Ability to communicate in a disciplined and constructive manner.
  • Ability to review and interpret technical requirements in contracts.
  • Strong commitment to safety and wellbeing of people.
