Senior Physician in Geriatric Medicine

As a Staff Specialist in Geriatric Medicine, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality specialist care to older patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to our patients.
The role involves providing diagnostic and consultative services across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, community, and Residential Aged Care. You will also participate in teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities in Geriatric Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality specialist Geriatric Medicine care, optimizing comorbidities and ensuring safe and well-integrated transitions of care.
- Provide high-standard professional performance and encourage an academic environment that supports education, research, and professional development.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognized qualifications in Geriatric Medicine and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
The Department of Geriatric Medicine is a busy and innovative unit providing acute, rehabilitation, outpatient, and community care for older, frailer, and multi-morbid patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
As a NSW Health worker, you are required to have completed a primary course of COVID-19 vaccination. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate.
