About the Organisation

Northern Coalfields Community Care Association Limited (NCCCA) is a not-for-profit residential aged and community care service provider to people in the Maitland local government area.

About the Role

We are currently seeking part-time and casual Community Care Employees to work independently and provide services to our elderly consumers in the community.

The successful candidates will be responsible for tasks and activities that support the consumer's independence in daily activities and living skills, such as personal care, domestic duties, transport, shopping, respite, and access to the community.

You will help our consumers live the life they choose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to consumers in their homes
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, domestic duties, and transport
  • Support consumers to access community resources and services
  • Work collaboratively with consumers, families, and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Availability to work at least three days a week
  • Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with consumers, families, and colleagues
  • Genuine interest in helping the elderly
  • Ability to follow a set task list or care plan for each consumer
  • Capacity to perform home care tasks satisfactorily and within guidelines
  • Knowledge of WHS procedures and safe work practices
  • Understanding of boundaries required to maintain professional relationships with clients
  • Current driver's license with a registered, insured, and reliable car
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness, health, and resilience to fulfill the demands of the role
  • Evidence of having the 2023 Influenza and Covid-19 Vaccinations (3 doses)
  • Police Check suitable for aged care
What We Offer

An hourly rate of $30.6525 per hour will be provided, plus relevant allowances, loadings, and superannuation.
