Travel Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Travel Consultant to join our team. As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for planning and booking travel arrangements for customers.

This is a full-time position working on-site in one of our retail stores on a rotating roster across a 7-day trade. You will work closely with customers to understand their travel needs and preferences, and use your expertise to plan and book customized travel itineraries.

  • Plan and book travel arrangements for customers, including flights, accommodation, car hire, tours, travel insurance, cruises, transfers and more.
  • Work towards individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sales targets.
  • Become an expert in various destinations and travel options, and use this knowledge to advise customers on the best options for their needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Travel Consultant, you will need:

  • A genuine passion for travel and a desire to help customers achieve their travel goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including ticketing software and other relevant technology.
