Social Work Industry Facilitator

Flinders University is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Social Work Industry Facilitator in a leading educational institution. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and supervising the facilitation of student placements across the mental health sector.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a PhD or equivalent professional experience in social work, along with a minimum of five years (FTE) of post-qualifying experience in the mental health sector. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining placement relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Collaborating with service providers in South Australia and the Northern Territory to identify challenges and design creative solutions for placement opportunities and workforce development.
  • Contributing to planning, evaluation, and student placement assessment of topics, undertaking the role of Topic Coordinator as required.

The successful candidate will be highly skilled and experienced, with significant teaching and learning experience at a tertiary level. They must have evidence of using innovative learning and teaching approaches that enhance student success, and be able to engage with students and evaluate student placement outcomes via online learning platforms.

  • Experience of teaching and learning at a tertiary level, including curriculum design and field education.
  • Evidence of using learning and teaching approaches that enhance student success.
  • Demonstrated experience or capability to engage with students and evaluate student placement outcomes via online learning platforms.
