Senior Lawyer Writer, Commercial, Industry Expert

We are seeking an expert Senior Lawyer Writer to join our high-calibre team at Practical Law Australia. As a seasoned commercial lawyer, you will be responsible for creating premium quality know-how resources, including practice notes, standard documents, checklists, and drafting notes.
About the Role- You will plan, research, write, edit, and maintain up-to-date content on commercial and contract law topics.
- Monitor legal, practice, and market developments relevant to in-house and private practice environments.
- Support internal peer review processes to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Meet with external customers and industry experts to stay abreast of market trends and deliver exceptional content.
- Provide legal expertise in responding to customer queries and assist in planning and publishing commissioned content.
- You must have 5+ years of PQE experience as a commercial lawyer, preferably in an in-house role or top/mid-tier private practice.
- Hold an in-depth understanding of contract law and experience in areas such as supply chains, procurement, agency, distribution, outsourcing, ESG, and tort law.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in commercial law and a passion for re-inventing knowledge work.
- Showcase excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Possess a proactive mindset, flexibility, and analytical thinking.
