Launch Systems Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Launch Systems Engineer with expertise in mechanical and/or fluids engineering to support the development of critical hardware systems. As a key member of our team, you will drive system development from initial design through manufacturing, testing, and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative solutions for launch mechanisms, actuation systems, fluid systems, and large structures.
  • Perform structural, dynamic, thermal, and fluids analysis to determine system requirements and optimize designs.
  • Collaborate with software and operation engineers to develop robust, fault-tolerant systems and software that perform under extreme conditions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate tower, launch mount, and vehicle systems effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
  • 1+ years of experience with mechanical or fluid systems design, analysis, and hands-on assembly.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis.
  • Solid understanding and application of GD&T and manufacturing techniques.
  • Demonstrated understanding of structural analysis and failure modes of complex mechanical systems and weldments.
