About the Opportunity
Metricon Homes, Australia's largest home builder, is seeking a talented Senior Residential Drafter to join our Regional North VIC Drafting Team based in Kialla (Shepparton) Office.
Overview of the Role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Residential Drafter to work on producing high-quality drawings using CAD/Revit for various residential projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating site plans, design solution sketches, sales plans, working drawings, variations, council plans, and final construction drawings.
Main Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate and detailed drawings in accordance with design and construction details dictated by Building Code of Australia, local authority requirements, and relevant planning regulations.
- Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer requirements as described in the sales estimate, as well as in accordance with Metricon and building standards.
- Work closely with internal departments, external customers, suppliers, agents, and contractors to maintain and improve relationships.
- Develop thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services, and processes to complete work confidently.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Formal qualifications in Architectural Drafting (Diploma or higher).
- Minimum 2 years of residential drafting experience, ideally within the volume residential building industry.
- Competent and experienced use of AutoCAD and Revit in residential drafting.
- A good understanding of relevant codes and Australian standards, regulations, and design guidelines.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Commitment to the role and willingness to cater to client expectations.
