Job Title: Sustainability Manager - Renewable Energy Zones

 

About the Role:

The Policy Manager plays a key role in developing and implementing strategic policies and guidelines related to community, social, and land use planning considerations associated with Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) in regional NSW communities.

This involves engaging widely across energy sector stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes and maximize opportunities for regional communities during the transition to renewable energy.

The Policy Manager will work with senior executives and agency counterparts to lead the development of innovative policies and guidelines that support viable business opportunities for renewable energy projects and benefits for host communities.

 

About You:

  • You must have an understanding and/or lived experience of the priorities and issues affecting regional and rural communities.
  • Demonstrated experience developing policy or program advice, particularly in infrastructure project development/delivery or strategic/environmental planning, is preferred.
  • You must have strong communication and engagement skills, experience developing stakeholder relationships in delivering major programs, initiatives, or infrastructure projects in regional settings.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental planning, law, renewable energy generation, energy markets, land use management, or other relevant disciplines;
  • Current Australian Driver's licence (Class C minimum) and willingness to travel.
