Job Overview

Chart Industries is seeking a highly skilled Principal Ventilation Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our ventilation consulting group, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to our customers on mine ventilation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and practical solutions to customers
• Guide and advise our team of engineers on ventilation studies, projects, and services
• Oversee ventilation consulting activities worldwide, including customer proposals, reports, and communication
• Grow our mine ventilation services business

Day-to-Day Activities

• Apply accepted practices and techniques of mining ventilation and safety engineering to customer requirements
• Design mine ventilation systems that comply with regulations, safety, and production requirements
• Recommend alterations or installation of mine ventilation works
• Provide feedback to the Ventsim software team
• Assist team members and participate in innovation and research

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mining/mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrated skills in team environments and supervising others
• Good business communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Logical problem-solving skills, outstanding organizational skills, and dedication to quality and integrity

Work Environment

• Occasional travel to customer offices and operational sites may be required
• Up to 25% travel as needed

Professional Experience

• A combined 15 years' experience in mine ventilation, including at least 5 years on site and at least 5 years as a consultant
• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels
• Ability to create clear and concise reports
• Capable of compiling, analyzing, and utilizing data
• Ability to multi-task and work in a priority-changing environment
