Job Role: Short-Term Planner

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the timely programming of rail traffic movements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop train plans that ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Negotiate with other teams to align border times at key interfaces.
  • Identify potential delays or problems and work towards resolving them in accordance with service priorities.
  • Prepare visual aids for use on control boards.
  • Liaise with technical support around system errors.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of operational rules and procedures, as well as the ability to articulate complex discussions and develop solutions within established frameworks.

Key Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge of Network Rules and Procedures.
  • Detailed understanding of Work on Track activities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
