About the Role
- Collaborate with software and IT teams to embed security into design, development, and delivery processes.
- Lead the design and implementation of security controls across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
- Conduct thorough threat modelling, risk assessments, and security reviews for new and existing systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
- Define and enforce robust security architecture principles, standards, and policies, guiding the technical teams towards best practices.
- Advocate for secure development practices (DevSecOps, SDLC) and mentor technical teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge security technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, Zero Trust frameworks), staying abreast of emerging threats and trends.
- Translate security strategy into actionable architecture and reusable design patterns, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Support incident response and forensic investigations as a subject matter expert, providing critical insights and recommendations.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and proactively strengthen the organization's security posture through ongoing monitoring and improvement.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, including 2+ years in security architecture or senior engineering positions.
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related field, with a strong foundation in computer systems and networking.
- Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CISM are highly desirable, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
- Deep expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure), identity and access management, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST), with experience in implementing and managing these systems.
- Experience with secure development practices and DevSecOps, having applied these concepts in previous roles or projects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence across technical and business teams, effectively articulating complex security concepts and driving consensus.
