Job Title: Digital Forensics Examiner

We are seeking a skilled Digital Forensics Examiner to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in supporting our investigations by conducting forensic acquisition, preservation, analysis, and reporting of digital evidence from electronic devices.

About the Role:

This is a fixed-term, full-time role based in Hobart. The period of appointment is 2 years, with 73.5 hours worked per fortnight. You will be required to work closely with our team to ensure that all processes are conducted in accordance with legislative requirements, evidentiary standards, and recognised forensic best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Tasmania Police investigations by conducting forensic acquisition, preservation, analysis, and reporting of digital evidence from electronic devices.

Qualifications and Pre-Employment Checks:

Applicants must possess a certificate or diploma-level qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related discipline, with an interest in pursuing a career in digital forensics or supporting law enforcement operations.
