We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist Consultant to join our team in delivering high-quality mental health services. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading clinical teams and providing treatment and care to adult consumers in a community setting.
The key expectation for this role is to develop the teams to provide a seamless service to our consumers, working closely with other departments and agencies to promote relationships and partnerships.
This position involves promoting GV Health as a quality regional health service provider, supervising RANZCP trainees and medical students, and contributing to the development of our Lived Experience Workforce strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership within the Adult Mental Health Program
- Develop and implement plans to improve service delivery and outcomes
- Work collaboratively with other departments and agencies to promote relationships and partnerships
- Supervise RANZCP trainees and medical students
- Contribute to the development of our Lived Experience Workforce strategy
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Qualifications:
- A medical degree or equivalent qualification
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Certification in psychiatry or equivalent experience
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience working in mental health or a related field
