About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist Consultant to join our team in delivering high-quality mental health services. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading clinical teams and providing treatment and care to adult consumers in a community setting.

The key expectation for this role is to develop the teams to provide a seamless service to our consumers, working closely with other departments and agencies to promote relationships and partnerships.

This position involves promoting GV Health as a quality regional health service provider, supervising RANZCP trainees and medical students, and contributing to the development of our Lived Experience Workforce strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership within the Adult Mental Health Program
  • Develop and implement plans to improve service delivery and outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and agencies to promote relationships and partnerships
  • Supervise RANZCP trainees and medical students
  • Contribute to the development of our Lived Experience Workforce strategy
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Qualifications:

  • A medical degree or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Certification in psychiatry or equivalent experience

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working in mental health or a related field
