Medical Physics Specialist Role

We are seeking to appoint two permanent full-time Medical Physics Specialists to join a dynamic team. The successful candidates will be responsible for participating in staff education, training, and clinical research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving the safe implementation and testing of new technology and techniques in the department.
  • Planning and management of multi-disciplinary projects to improve treatment quality and efficiency.
  • Applying physics and mathematical skills to solve clinical problems to ensure and advance care.
  • Providing high-quality medical physics services including support for imaging, treatment planning, linear accelerator quality assurance, and patient treatment verification.
Requirements
  • A demonstrated track record of successful clinical project development and completion to a high standard.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A postgraduate degree in medical physics and a first degree in a physical science.
  • ACPSEM Accreditation, UK IPEM/Clinical Scientist Registration; ABR/ABMP/CCPM Certification; or those due who have passed the final written examination for ACPSEM certification in Radiation Oncology.
