Medical Laboratory Professional

This is a permanent full-time position for a dedicated and detail-oriented laboratory professional to join our Microbiology Pathology team at St George Hospital. The ideal candidate thrives in a supportive, fast-paced laboratory environment and is looking to build a stable and meaningful career in pathology.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver operational laboratory activities including coordination and provision of scientific and technical training.
- Review, develop and quality manage laboratory practices to ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
- Utilize Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Control Systems, as well as computer programs such as Microsoft Office suite.
- Work efficiently to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or higher degree in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent qualification from recognized tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in clinical molecular microbiology and utilization of computer programs such as Microsoft Office suite.
- Customer-focused approach displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills.
