We are currently seeking a professional to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Fitter at our coal mine operations located in Queensland, Australia. Our mine complex consists of two open-cut mines that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal for export markets.

The successful candidate will have a recognized Mechanical Trade Qualification and experience in open-cut mining maintenance. You will also have experience working on mobile equipment, defect inspections, and SAP work management systems.

About this role:

  • Prioritize and undertake specified and/or general work to the required standard and within timeframes;
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment;
  • Minimize production downtime;
  • Utilize libraries such as SIS;
  • Participate in shift change, site meetings, and reporting requirements;
  • Engage actively in Continuous Improvement programs;
  • Comply with site Safety and Health Management system requirements (risk management, SOPs, permits, work instructions, etc.).

About you:

  • A commitment to Continuous Improvement and a positive attitude towards change;
  • Ability to utilize a broad skill set including 24v electrical work along with medium and light vehicle repairs;
  • A strong commitment to safety procedures and disciplines;
  • Motivated, hardworking, with a professional attitude;
  • High Risk Work Licence (e.g., Forklift, EWP, Non-Slew Crane), HR Truck Licence, Working at Heights/Confined Spaces highly regarded;
  • 3 years HME experience.
