Operational Desk Assistant

SIG, a leading quantitative trading firm, is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Analyst to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day running of the trading desks, which entails position reconciliations, trade capture, and accurate position reconciliation with external brokers.

Job Description
  • Compile and reconcile trades, transactions, and positions.
  • Prepare and submit creation and redemption instructions for proprietary trading.
  • Assist in maintaining position, profit and loss (P&L), and information exchange.
  • Maintain and manage operational processes according to regulatory frameworks to ensure exchange compliance.
  • Use algorithmic trading tools under instruction from traders.
  • Update and manage all exchange trading systems, proprietary trading applications, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Act as liaison between desk traders and other dealers, traders, or brokers, and all internal departments.
  • Help run appropriate desk projects and initiatives.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should have 4+ years' experience working in the financial markets arena. They must have operational knowledge of Asian Financial markets, in-depth knowledge of ETF life cycle, handling trade flow through to settlement, and thorough knowledge of equity and specifically ETF products.

They should also have worked with Bloomberg and be proficient in Excel, possess strong organizational skills, meticulous record-keeping, and foster efficiency and accuracy to complete tasks and follow process.

We are looking for a self-starter, a quick learner, and resourceful individual who can solve problems. They should be reliable and flexible team players with a positive demeanor.

Working knowledge of VBA, Python, or SQL would be beneficial. The ability to build strong relationships both internally and with broker contacts is essential.
