Job Opportunity: Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Ferrier Engineering is a specialist engineering consultancy delivering multi-disciplinary projects within the water and wastewater industries. About the Role
  • We are seeking an exceptional Graduate Mechanical Engineer who will gain exposure to a wide variety of projects, working alongside a highly skilled team of engineers and drafters.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing designs for mechanical, structural, and process systems
  • Carrying out CAD work and design drafting, including the preparation of design and fabrication drawings
  • Attending project sites (occasionally) to assist with 3D laser scanning, setout activities, or site investigation work to support accurate design and project delivery
  • Produce and review designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
  • Assist with project management activities and support the delivery of engineering projects
  • Participate in site visits to gain practical, hands-on experience
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to achieve high-quality engineering outcomes
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (final-year students encouraged to apply)
  • Strong academic performance with demonstrated achievement in studies
  • Engineering exposure: previous industry exposure is advantageous but not essential
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Eligibility: Australian working rights required
  • Availability: Ability to commence full-time employment
