Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to join our team on a 12-month maximum term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the strategic and operational aspects of the Financial Accounting function, providing leadership to the team (3 direct reports) and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and financial information is maintained.

About This Role
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with KPIs and accounting standards, including annual financial statements and reporting packs.
  • Lead and manage the financial accounting team, providing training, development, and succession planning opportunities.
  • Oversee daily accounting activities to maintain the firm's general ledger and ensure strong collaboration with other financial controlling functions.
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while continuously improving accounting practices and internal controls.
  • Supervise the consolidation and financial statement preparation process, managing external auditor liaison.
  • Resolve complex accounting issues and provide guidance on technical matters, including new accounting standards and transactional accounting.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • A degree and CA/CPA qualifications
  • 8+ years' experience in accounting and finance
  • Experience in Service Trust arrangements (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a thorough and methodical approach to work
  • Demonstrable experience leading and motivating a team
  • Experience initiating activities that contribute to meeting the organisation's strategic objectives

Location
