Job Summary

We are seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live as independently as possible.

The successful candidate will work within our Learning and Lifestyle program, providing daily skills training, personal care support, meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and facilitating community connections through socialising and outings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals in achieving their NDIS goals by developing daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills, and budgeting.
  • Support aspects of personal care to meet individual needs.
  • Provide support during daily activities such as walking, attending appointments, and other activities.
  • Help individuals maintain connections with family, friends, and services.
Requirements
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in Community and SIL environments or supporting people with complex disabilities is highly regarded.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and sleepovers.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements as some manual handling tasks may be involved.
  • Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain relevant certifications.
