About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant with a strong focus on taxation to join our team at RetireAustralia. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tax disclosures for financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and lodge income tax returns, IAS, BAS, FBT, and payroll tax returns, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
  • Support senior financial personnel in reporting tax matters to the Audit Committee, providing expert advice and guidance as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in taxation-related systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in treasury-related administration and reporting, providing financial analysis and recommendations as needed.
  • Support the finance team with financial and management reporting responsibilities, providing accurate and timely information.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Business or Commerce with a focus on Accounting.
  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • At least 4 years of experience in public practice or a similar commerce role, with a strong focus on taxation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Applications.
  • National Police Clearance (current).
