We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant with a background in tax to join our National Finance Team in a role that offers a strong blend of business partnering/advisory and compliance work.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing financial statements and annual accounts for all business structures.
- Prepare financial analysis and reports.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Taxation Compliance and Reporting/ Tax effect accounting advising on taxation matters and recommend tax strategies.
- Provide modelling and analysis support for development requirements from a finance perspective.
- Review and advise on project feasibility reports.
- Prepare development margin related disclosures for annual accounts.
- Ensure compliance with treasury and hedging policy.
You will be a CA/CPA qualified professional with a background in tax, either from a commercial experience or looking to move from Tax/ Business Services into the commercial space.
You will have a flexible and proactive approach to your work, and will describe yourself as a team player who enjoys building relationships with stakeholders to provide a high level of analytical and compliance support.
Requirements- Demonstrated understanding of Australian Corporate tax compliance, GST, Accounting Standards, and associated legislation.
- Ability to communicate complex tax issues effectively.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads.
- Positive can-do attitude and team player.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously.
- Flexible approach to work planning.
