{"About the Role": "As a Civil Engineering Assistant at BG&E, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow alongside our experienced engineering team. You will assist project teams with a variety of tasks, including the development of documentation, reports, and engineering calculations. You will also have the chance to work collaboratively with the buildings team on local projects, supporting construction and responding to RFIs. Additionally, you will accompany engineers on site inspections and learn how to support project teams with analysis, design, asset management, and reporting. You will also learn how to ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation and how to work with drafting teams to produce structural engineering drawings.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist project teams with documentation, reports, and engineering calculations
* Collaborate with the buildings team on local projects
* Support construction and respond to RFIs
* Accompany engineers on site inspections
* Support project teams with analysis, design, asset management, and reporting

**Requirements:**

* Progressed at least halfway into your Civil Engineering Degree
* Strong academic record, especially in structural units
* Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
* Working knowledge of the MS Office suite of tools
* Experience using Auto CAD or structural modelling tools beneficial
* Strong desire to learn and solve problems
* High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
