Job Title: Security Governance and Compliance Specialist

The role is responsible for leading the security governance and compliance team to maturity, providing expert advice to onsite management and employees, and developing, implementing, and reviewing site security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the security governance and compliance team to ensure effective implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice on security governance and compliance matters to onsite management and employees.
  • Develop, implement, and review site security policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with relevant government standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with program managers and other internal teams to develop and maintain physical security plans, processes, and standards.
  • Document and improve processes to manage risks that impact the business, including physical security, identifying areas for improvement, and driving resolution.
  • Audit and assure key security lines and functions to ensure compliance with relevant government standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of facility security accreditations as required.
  • Support the development of a holistic precinct security plan and assist with precinct security activities.
  • Assess, evaluate, and endorse protective security reports, submissions, briefings, and discussion papers.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in security governance and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in leading security governance and compliance teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant government standards and regulations.
