Public Affairs and Government Relations Lead

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change in our relationships with governments and other stakeholders. As Public Affairs and Government Relations Lead, you will develop and implement comprehensive strategies to enhance safety, innovation, and industry best practices.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to build strong working relationships with key contacts. They will also be proactive in identifying areas of public policy for opportunities and impacts on our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for government relations and public affairs
  • Promote our initiatives and policies by maintaining strong relationships with key contacts, Members of Parliament, government departments, agencies, and regulatory bodies
  • Monitor the political and regulatory environment, and identify key areas of public policy for opportunities and impacts to our operations
  • Contribute to the promotion and education of key advocacy messages and campaigns across all levels of government
