We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation and Recovery Specialist to join our team at Wellways Australia Limited. As a key member of our community care team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in their own community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct, practical support to participants to help them regain, keep, and improve skills, including self-management skills.
- Support participants to identify and nurture natural supports that sustain recovery, working not just with individuals but also with families and communities.
- Develop and implement recovery plans that help participants achieve their goals, working closely with participants to identify their hopes, aspirations, and goals.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly data entry and maintain file notes, as well as various program documentation such as recovery assessments and plans, risk assessments, referral documentation, and more.
- Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health, Mental Health Peer Work, or Community Services, or able to demonstrate working toward these qualifications.
- A contemporary understanding of mental health issues and recovery-oriented mental health practice.
- A current and valid Driver's License.
- National Police Records Check [less than 12 months old].
- Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport, birth certificate, or VISA.
- NSW (Paid Worker) Working with Children Check, prior to commencement.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
