Job Title: Finance Manager

The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving the financial health of our organization.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage expenditure and accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and support month-end closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and ensure proper coding in Xero.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding invoice queries, payment terms, and remittance advice.
  • Support the review and approval process for purchase orders and expense claims.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and conduct variance analysis.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across Xero and other financial systems.
  • Monitor and follow up on overdue customer accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Support weekly payroll processing, ensuring accurate application of entitlements, deductions, and awards.
  • Process staff onboarding and all relevant documentation.
  • Provide administrative support in staff records management, contract updates, and compliance with workplace policies.
  • Handle submissions for Superannuation, Payroll Tax, and Child Support Payments and month-end procedures including financial year-end activities.
  • Prepare ATO taxation obligations, including BAS, PAYG, IAS, and ensure compliance in collaboration with our external accountant.
  • Prepare and deliver end-of-month financial reports.
  • Monitor and manage budget and cash flow requirements to support business operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Financial management skills, including accounting, finance, and bookkeeping principles.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Excel, and cloud-based financial platforms.
