Accessibility Specialist

  • Achieve thorough accessibility testing and validation using keyboard-only functionality and screen readers.
  • Evaluate website compliance with WCAG guidelines, focusing on contrast, focus order, headings, labels, reflow, and error handling.
  • Maintain defect logs with precise mapping to WCAG standards, along with severity assessments and step-by-step reproduction guides.
  • Conduct rigorous regression testing to guarantee the stability of fixes implemented by developers.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to reproduce and verify resolutions to identified issues.
Skill Requirements:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accessibility assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology software (NVDA/JAWS, VoiceOver, magnifiers).
  • Deep understanding of HTML structure, ARIA roles, and semantic markup principles.
  • Detailed and meticulous approach to quality assurance/testing.
  • Australian citizenship is mandatory for this position.
