Are you passionate about delivering exceptional foot care services to patients?

This part-time role as a Foot Care Assistant is now available at a reputable podiatry clinic on the Sunshine Coast.

As a member of our team, you will provide ongoing care to patients requiring general foot and nail care, including trimming, sanding, reduction, and debridement as necessary on toenails, calluses, and corns.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Assessing any changes to nail structure or tissue changes
  • Assessing foot pain with education to reduce pain in feet and toes
  • Treating ingrown nails if required
  • Providing strategies and education to clients to minimize future problems and complications, including diabetic foot education
  • Responsibility for infection control & instrument sterilization process
  • Patient related administration

Our ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Podiatry) and possess strong knowledge of podiatric practices, foot care techniques, and common foot conditions.

They will also need exceptional interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with patients, excellent time management skills and punctuality, empathy with patients to ensure a patient-centred approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
