About the Role

The role of Applications Manager is a key leadership position within the Information and Digital Technology Unit, responsible for overseeing the Council's software portfolio and leading the Applications team. This involves strategic planning, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions to a community-focused digital environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing enterprise applications such as TRIM (Content Manager), Salesforce, TechnologyOne, and other key platforms. This includes configuration, integration, upgrades, user support, and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Applications team and oversee the Council's software portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and business needs.
  • Drive the adoption of DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines, to improve the speed, quality, and reliability of software delivery.
  • Deliver secure, modern, and community-focused digital solutions that meet the evolving needs of the Council.
