Job Overview

Fire Safety Specialist. This role suits a Senior Engineer or someone close to achieving that milestone in their career.

Responsibilities
  • Providing substantial technical expertise of fire engineering, from first principles to leading large-scale fire engineering projects.
  • Project and client relationship management across various markets.
  • Developing performance-based fire engineering strategies across a wide range of buildings and infrastructure projects.
  • Mentoring team members in their development, facilitating opportunities that build competency, and assisting with professional accreditation where appropriate.
Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Fire Safety Engineer.
  • A relevant Engineering qualification alongside a thorough understanding of the Building Code of Australia and the Australian Fire Engineering Guidelines.
  • A record of leading fire engineering projects and negotiating with approval authorities.
  • Prior experience in preparing Performance Based Design Briefs, Fire Engineering Reports, and Fire Engineering Strategies.
