Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare individual and business tax returns for various types, including entities and industries.
  • Collaborate with the tax team to perform tax planning, interact with clients, and undertake special tax projects.
  • Obtain relevant tax information from clients to prepare accurate tax returns.
  • Analyze tax situations to maximize tax benefits.
  • Develop solutions and communicate them to the engagement team and clients.
  • Prepare accounting-related reports in a paperless office environment.
  • Mentor and train lower-level employees in the tax department.
  • Stay up-to-date on changing tax industry regulations and policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Active CPA license or progress towards obtaining CPA license preferred; Enrolled Agent (EA) certification also accepted.
  • 2-4 years of tax experience within public accounting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
  • Ability to focus on complex tasks and understand compliance processes.
