We are seeking a skilled Diesel Motor Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty equipment in Port Hedland. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our vehicles are operational and serviced in accordance with requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance, and inspections of trucks and trailers
  • Maintain accurate records of servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Perform repairs and parts change-outs as directed
  • Attend to roadside breakdowns and communicate effectively with drivers and plant operators
  • Order parts using established procedures and suppliers
  • Maintain company vehicles and mechanical aids
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and operating manuals
  • Identify and record deficiencies in products and services

Requirements

  • Mechanical Trade Certification
  • Experience working with heavy-duty diesel equipment
  • Experience in a heavy industry transport or mining environment
