Cloud Software Engineering Lead

Oracle, a world leader in cloud solutions, is seeking an experienced Cloud Software Engineering Lead to join our Incident Management Automation team. With over 40 years of experience, we use tomorrow's technology to tackle today's problems and strive for innovation by embracing diverse perspectives.
We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with at least 6 years of experience in the software industry to lead the development of highly scalable products and services in the Cloud. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with product leaders to translate business requirements into technical specifications, design, develop, and troubleshoot scalable, operationally focused, customer-facing cloud services.
Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and constructive feedback to leadership, team members, and other stakeholders, contributing to the growth and development of junior engineers.
- Product Development: Collaborate with product leaders to define the future of services used daily by customers and internal teams, driving performant, scalable, and forward-thinking solutions to completion on time.
- Automating Tasks: Automate common tasks to enable continuous delivery and ensure continuous availability with minimal human overhead.
- Maintenance and Infrastructure: Maintain both development and production infrastructure as part of a customer-focused engineering culture with operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, a solid understanding of microservice-based architectures, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, REST APIs, and Cloud technologies. Additionally, expertise in Java or similar modern programming languages, CI/CD processes, and infrastructure tools such as git, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible is required. Experience with front-end/full-stack development, Python, data analysis, system monitoring, automation, and incident management tools is a plus.
Qualifications- At least 6 years of experience in the software industry working on architecture, system, and software design, development, and delivery of highly scalable products and services.
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent education.
- In-depth understanding of the entire product development lifecycle, including writing technical specifications, assisting in making product-impacting decisions, designing world-class services, developing and reviewing code, driving DevOps, managing releases, and operations.
- Ability to identify opportunities for innovation, stay on top of tech debt, plan for continuous improvements in technology and operations, and maintain a solid security posture.
