Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned project leader to manage complex cyber security initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, project delivery and cyber security domains.

About the Opportunity
  • This is a senior IT PM role; we expect you're experienced in managing stakeholders, delivering complex projects and that you're very comfortable working in cyber security and IT infrastructure domains.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. End-to-end management of complicated & complex Cyber Security projects in accordance with our Digital, Data & Cyber Security (DDC) Project Management framework, including the application of BAE Systems Australia's LCM Process.
  2. Support the Cyber Program Manager with long-term project & financial planning.
  3. Collaboratively develop business cases and estimate & secure commitment for project resourcing.
  4. Lead virtual project teams to ensure timely activity, integration and efficient use of time and resources to meet requirements.
  5. Manage vendor engagement and procurement activities for project hardware, software and services.
  6. Facilitate project steering committees and manage stakeholder relationships.
  7. Undertake simple organisational change management activities.
  8. Establish appropriate key success indicators and recommend trade-offs between scope, quality, time and cost.
  9. Actively manage project risk & opportunity, and develop strategies to mitigate or leverage.
  10. Manage project finances to approved budgets.
  11. Deliver project reporting in accordance with reporting calendar.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex Cyber Security projects (strong adjacent domain experience will be considered).
  • Degree, diploma, or proprietary certification in Project Management is desirable.
  • Ability to partner with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure great project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading virtual teams in a matrixed organization structure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences.
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.

Melbourne or Adelaide-based position available for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Central Functions Line of Business.

Requirements
  • Cyber Security Experience: Demonstrated experience managing complex Cyber Security projects (strong adjacent domain experience will be considered).
  • Project Management Certification: Degree, diploma, or proprietary certification in Project Management is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences.
