The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to support the Mission Systems Simulation Laboratory in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in electronics, communication and/or networking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining & Operating advanced Mission System Simulators & Lab equipment in a fast-paced environment
  • Installation and Integration of engineered modifications and upgrades to the Simulation hardware and connectivity
  • Maintenance and Repair of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) enterprise data and communications equipment
  • Troubleshooting to isolate faults and repair faulty devices

Requirements:

  • A minimum Certificate III in Electronics and Communications or related qualification and industry experience is essential
  • Exceptional analytical, complex problem solving and communication skills and an ability to build strong stakeholder relationships is essential
  • A National Restricted Electrical or Qualified Electrical Supervisor License, or the ability to obtain one is highly desirable
  • Networking, IT and Linux based systems knowledge is desirable
  • A current AGSVA NV2 security clearance is desirable (ability to attain and hold essential)

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements
