Job Description:

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for governance and risk management? Do you have a strong track record of leading high-performing teams and driving strategic initiatives? We are seeking an experienced Manager to join our team and lead our governance, enterprise risk, and commercial property sections.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of policies, programs, and projects that promote good governance and risk management practices within our organization.

You will be responsible for managing a team of professionals, overseeing budgets, and coordinating corporate governance functions such as audit, risk, and improvement committees. You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement strategies to improve our risk management capabilities and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant experience operating at a senior level in local government or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, as well as project management skills.
  • Experience in managing corporate governance, risk management, and understanding of commercial property.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993 and the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021.

We offer a competitive remuneration package, including a total salary up to $215,000 per annum, plus superannuation, market and car allowances, and other benefits.
