About this roleThis Behavioural Therapy Assistant position involves providing 1:1 therapy to clients in varied settings, including home, clinic, or school under the guidance and supervision of a Therapy Supervisor.
- Provide 1:1 therapy sessions to clients, supporting them in developing skills such as communication, social interactions, and emotional regulation.
- Collect client data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages client participation and engagement.
Key qualifications include:
- Studying or completed a degree/certificate in psychology, disability, education, occupational therapy, or related field.
- Experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A passion for helping individuals reach their full potential.
Additional requirements include:
- Right to work within Australia.
- Working with Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willing to obtain).
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module - 'Quality, Safety and You'.
- Full Australian Driver's License & Vehicle, current car registration, and comprehensive car insurance.
- Laptop/iPad - own device required on shift.
To be eligible for Disability Support Worker shifts, candidates must meet one of the following minimum requirements:
- Hold a minimum of Certificate III in a relevant qualification and have completed placement; or
- Have at least six months of paid experience as a Disability Support Worker.
