Construction Labourer for Motorway Upgrade

At WorkPac, we are currently seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team for the M1 Extension Motorway Upgrade Project in Heatherbrae.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $35.56 + Penalties and Allowances, with opportunities for overtime available or as required.

About the Role
  • You will assist in preparing construction sites by clearing obstacles, setting up safety barriers, signage, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Load and unload construction materials, machinery, and equipment; ensure proper storage and care of tools and materials.
  • Support activities related to ground preparation, including digging trenches, excavation work, and soil compaction.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to skilled tradespersons (e.g., operators, concreters, and carpenters) as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your coworkers.
  • Operate and maintain basic tools and machinery, including jackhammers, compactors, and power drills, under supervision.
  • Collaborate with traffic control teams to maintain a safe traffic flow and protect work zones when necessary.
  • Adhere to environmental management plans, such as waste disposal and dust control procedures, to minimize impact on surrounding areas.
What We Offer
  • A highly competitive hourly rate: $35.56/hour + Penalties + Allowances.
  • Daily Travel CW2 Allowance: $20.32.
  • Meal Allowance: $16.70 (Payable after 1.5 hours of ordinary hours).
