Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Program Leader to join our team. As a Program Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the educational programs and experiences for children.

Your main responsibility will be to develop, implement, and evaluate high-quality educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children. You will work closely with your colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing curriculum plans that align with current early childhood education frameworks;
  • Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and developmental milestones;
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to plan and deliver educational programs;
  • Providing support and guidance to new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively;
  • Staying up-to-date with current research and best practices in early childhood education to inform program decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed Diploma in Children's Services or a related field;
  • Prior experience as a Lead Educator or equivalent in a long day-care setting;
  • Sound knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF);
  • Current Working with Children's Check;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
