Reintegration and Education Specialist

This role is based in the Metropolitan Regional Office and the Brisbane Children's Court. As a Reintegration and Education Specialist, you will build strong relationships with young people and families involved in the Youth Justice System to assess their education needs and support their reintegration into an appropriate education pathway.

The Reintegration and Education Specialist acts as a conduit in finding appropriate educational pathways in liaison with Youth Justice, areas of the Department of Education such as Youth Engagement Hubs, and other relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to provide a departmental perspective.
  • Referencing young people to avenues for direct support and advocacy.
  • Developing tailored education plans to support young people to transition into suitable educational pathways.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy requirements.
